This entire comic is free to read and share, under Creative Commons licensing. There are a lot of reasons we presented it this way, but it's mostly because we want as many people as possible to enjoy it. Writers and artists need to make money, but paywalls are stupid and evil and no fun.

I really enjoy this comic. Thanks for making a story about a geek who is both good at what he does and kind of sweet and a girl who is good at engineering, in charge of her life, and yet still kind and feminine.
You gotta love the disconnect between the words and the pictures in today's page.
Words: "shearing off a piece of the engine or the rudder or something."
Picture: aircraft coming completely apart in mid-air.
Laughed like hell.
Two words: "just fun." Thanks for that.
Out of memory fault?
Memory leak?
wonder what is wrong with it.
My bet is that it isn't paying close enough attention to everything it needs to. For example, it doesn't much matter if your grass changes from high resolution to low resolution at 3m away from the viewpoint, but if half your fuselage and fuel system is being simulated at a different resolution you might get...mismatches. On the other hand, that sort of problem shouldn't be too hard to fix. The gripping hand is, he's expecting to get it finished in a weekend anyway.
It might also be a "priorities" disconnect between ToBIAS and Tom.
I'm loving this so far. It makes me want to go back and read the short story as well. It makes me want there to be a full 3-d animation (though not over-rendered the way the big studios do it, and not all glassy the way the low-end builders do it. But definitely 3-d.
